“Daryl, we want you to be at our headquarters when the board next meets because we are keen to have a folio of photos that will ensure a consistent look across all our marketing,” Adam said.
We discussed the different options available to them, including photographing each board member using a basic lighting set up, or setting up portable studio lighting and a special background. Adam said that they had a large, well-lit  boardroom with white walls. I asked which direction the window faced and Adam said that they had a southerly aspect. This is a crucial point to consider when clients require a consistent, professional look to photographs they will be using in their marketing, publicity and promotional projects.
Usually, if a window doesn’t have a southerly aspect the light can change dramatically from one moment to the next in terms of colour, temperature and intensity. This makes it almost impossible to get consistency across a range of photos.
Thankfully, in this case we had a southern facing window, so it was agreed to photograph each board member using a basic lighting set up and the white wall as the background.   

THE SHOOT

Our photographer, having already agreed on a time with Adam, arrived around 20 minutes earlier to set up and be ready when the meeting ended. Because our professional photographers have many years of experience photographing people, they need very little time to connect, relax and pose their subjects in order to get those natural shots that enhance websites and marketing material.

Post production

Our professional photographers always take multiple shots of all subjects when creating corporate headshots. This provides our clients with a large range of images to choose from. Typically, we would shoot images where the client has a big smile and a more serious, business-like look. This way the images may be used across a range of marketing platforms. Our clients always end up with natural looking, professional head shots. The exposure is alway tweaked to make sure the viewer’s eye goes to the face. Any small blemishes are removed, and skin tones subtlety softened. Any dust or fluff can be removed from suits and jackets in post production. Delivery

Photographs are delivered via drop box within a week of the shoot. Image files are separated into both high resolution print ready files, and low resolution email/web ready files. This is our standard practice with all clients’ files because it removes any stress and simplifies matters. Clients instantly know from which folder to access images, depending on their marketing needs.
Images uploaded to drop box are easily downloaded to a desktop and can be shared with other team members who may require them

Back up

All images are kept on our drop box account free of charge for 12 months. This makes it easy to share image files with third parties and provides added security in case your back-up fails.
