What has this got to do with clothes?
You need the print to go with your room’s colour palette,choosing similar tones will assure the print sits well in the room.
It’s a wise decision to select outfits and prepare the clothes in advance this will help you enjoy your family portrait shoot by reducing any stress on the day,running around on the morning of your family portrait session will create unnecessary drama for everyone. We suggest you do this at least 3 days before your family portrait shoot. This will allow you time to make sure everything is clean and in good order without any last minute stress,also a back up outfit especially for the little ones can be a lifesaver.
Style of clothes, this one is dependant on the location and feel you want, just say we are doing a shooting your family portrait at the beach this will be casual and relaxed so suitable clothing could be shorts,summer dress’s,
t-shirts,soft cotton shirt, linen, swimmers, sun hats and sandals or bare feet.
A studio shoot would have a more formal feel like long pants and shirts, something a bit fancy for your girls and boys with accessories, hair and makeup.
It is good to have similar toned clothes, for example blue jeans with earth toned tops, some choices would be beige, soft white very pale shades, so choose the colours that suit your final print requirements. If you want anyone to stand out you can add a pop of colour to highlight the outfit coloured shoes, a scarf, anything that will introduce a small amount of pop.
All clothes should be comfortable and make you feel good.Clothes that don’t sit well can need constant readjusting during the shoot which can create stress by having to check them all the time. Clothing that is too tight will exaggerate lumps and bumps and clothes that are too loose can make you look bigger then you are. Try on your outfit and have a look in the mirror this will give you an idea of how you will look on the day.
